All items are designed and made in JEMS workshop in Leeds, however due to manufacturing methods parts may be outsourced to other companies. 

Info for stockists

Here at JEMS I accept both wholesale and SOR agreements. Minimum order 15 pieces please. All products come in a branded JEMS gift box with the logo in red on lid, and inside black foam. The Memory Vessels come with in-lid instructions of use.  

Please allow 6-8 working weeks for delivery while I get the orders made up and hallmarked by Sheffield Assay Office. It is my responsibility to get the order placed by you to your shop/gallery in one piece. I am responsible for delivery postage to your premises which will be special recorded delivery. When delivered the products will be accompanied with a wholesale price list, a product knowledge sheet and a thank you letter.

I have full insurance of stock loaned out to galleries for SOR agreement.

Please feel free to send or email me info relating to your shop or gallery. As a stockist I will link your details on my Stockist/Links page and carry leaflets around with me when at fairs or events, telling customers where JEMS work is available. I love to spread the word and support other indie business both local and nationally. We all need to stick together in the independent retail world. 

Accessing JEMS website 

JEMS reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the service (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time.
JEMS shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.

Intellectual property rights 

Emma M Swailes of JEMS jewellery is the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in my site, and in the material published on it. These materials include text, graphics, illustrations, images, logos and photographs. Storing content from this website for uses other than personal use is prohibited unless given permission by Emma M Swailes. Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved. 

Products

The pieces are mostly made with Sterling silver (925 parts silver and 75 parts copper) Britannia silver (958 parts silver and 42 parts copper) brass, copper and semi-precious stones. JEMS may use a range of finishes including shiny, polished, matt and silver plated. 

Each design is individually handmade by Emma of JEMS (who is a human!), all measurements are approximate and no two pieces are ever exactly the same. Photos give as accurate representation as possible but colours on screen may appear slightly different to the actual colour. Please pay attention to the dimensions given for the item.

Guarantee 

Each design comes with a 6-month guarantee after purchase, during which time any item needing repair is repaired for FREE. After 6 months any work is subject to a repair fee, dependent on material availability and the nature of the repair. Please note that due to the nature of the products, JEMS may not be able to order certain components needed to repair older items.

All JEMS products will come in a JEMS branded box with a black felt inside.On receipt of funds the item will dispatch within two working days. 

Payments

JEMS accepts payments through PayPal at emma@jewellerybyems.co.uk, cheques made payable to Emma Swailes or direct bank transfer. Please note bank transfer is preferred.  Items will not be sent until cheques clear. Payments can be taken in person through secure InTuit online payment system on the business tablet. JEMS is the sole user of this tablet, no third parties have access to the payment system or customer details. When paying through secure Intuit system the customer enters their own debit/credit card details on the tablet ensuring they are not seen by anyone else or are not saved on the tablet. An email of proof of purchase is then sent to the customer, and the payment takes 3-5 working days to clear.
JEMS takes card payments by iZettle on ipad. JEMS never stores your personal details. 

Commissions require a 50% upfront payment and full payment before posting. JEMS will update you daily on commission progress with photos/descriptions via email or phone call. 

JEMS will never upload photos before customer has received and confirmed their satisfaction with the item. After that the commission will be published on www.jewellerybyems.co.uk/blog and JEMS Commissions gallery.

JEMS never share customer information with anyone and all details are kept confidential. 


JEMS Return/Refund policy 

JEMS Jewellery is hand made in England from sterling silver and JEMS aim to ensure the photographs of products are as realistic as possible. However, because the jewellery is handmade some items may differ slightly to those shown. JEMS hope that you are delighted with your item, but if you are not, are happy to exchange it for you.

Sorry there is a no refunds on bespoke pieces or commissions.

Please contact JEMS within 7 days of receipt to arrange the exchange of the item or items. They must be sent back in their original, unworn condition.

JEMS will then arrange the exchange. For hygiene reasons, earrings cannot be returned unless they are faulty. When ordering rings, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure that they have ordered the correct size. Rings can be re-sized or exchanged but will be subject to a charge. If you should receive a faulty or damaged item, please notify within seven days of receipt. To arrange an exchange, or if the item you received is faulty or not what you originally ordered, please email emma@jewellerybyems.co.uk and quote your name and address, details of the product, the reason for return and whether you require a refund or replacement.

JEMS will then advise on how to proceed with the return. The item is your responsibility until it reaches JEMS. For your own protection, Special Delivery or an insured postal service and insure them at the appropriate value is recommended. JEMS cannot be held responsible for returns that are lost in transit. If you are returning an item to us for a refund or an exchange, the cost of returning the item to JEMS is your responsibility. Your original postage costs will not be refunded unless the item you received was sent in error or deem as faulty. (Providing we are notified of faults within 7 days of receipt).

All products to be returned must be carefully repackaged in their original packing and be in an unworn condition. JEMS will not exchange goods that have been worn, do not have their original packaging or show obvious signs of wear or abuse. In this instance, the goods will be returned to the buyer. In the interests of fraud prevention, your refund will be issued by the same method that you paid within 28 days of receipt of the return.

Postage and Packing- 

General Shipping anywhere in UK is £5 and European Union £8

UK: Items are posted by 1st class recorded mail or you can choose Special Delivery for £7.

All other items are shipped by Registered Mail or you can choose Special Delivery for £18.

Orders over £150 are Free of charge within the UK.  

If the item is in stock, I will ship your purchase within two days of order.

Bespoke and made-to-order items may take longer and JEMS will arrange this with you.

Large orders may take longer, and fabrication times are subject to change depending on workload at the time.

Late/Lost Deliveries 

If your delivery has been delayed, then please contact emma@jewellerybyems.co.uk  and JEMS will provide you with the tracking number to enable you to chase it up with the Royal Mail. JEMS cannot refund or replace lost items until 20 working days after the date of dispatch (30 days for international items) - this is when the Royal Mail classes items as being lost.

Pricing

All  prices are in UK Pounds. You will be billed in UK Pounds and if you purchase from outside the UK, currency fluctuations and credit card charges may make a difference to the amount billed on your credit card or displayed using my currency converter. Sometimes mistakes may occur on prices that appear on-line. I do of course make every effort possible to ensure that this.
